About the Artist
Andy Hoi-Csiu Chan was born in Guangzhou, China and graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1967 and the Vancouver School of Art in 1969. He has been President of the Chinese Artists’ Association of North America and the Society of International Lingnam School Artists. Mr. Chan has taught at the Art Institute of Chicago, Oakton Community College, University of Illinois, Gallery 37 and has given numerous demonstrations and one man shows worldwide. He has had shows at the National Art Museum, Beijing, People’s Republic of China and the Cultural Center, Taipei, Republic of China. His work is collected at the Harold Washington Public Library, Chicago and various art schools in the United States.
