About the Artist
Chris Ignacio is a New York based theatre artist, musician and puppeteer. He studied theatre at the Boston Conservatory, and has toured nationally and abroad in a constant exploration of the phenomenon of the human voice, movement and puppetry. He has studied clowning in Italy with Merry Conway, Viewpoints and composition with SITI company led by Anne Bogart, and puppetry with several resident artists at LaMama Experimental Theatre, whom he considers to be his artistic family. He currently works as the Associate Producer for Ma-Yi Theater Company- an Asian American, playwright centric Off-Broadway company that focuses on developing new work by underrepresented artists.
