About the Artist
Qigu Jiang is an Adjunct Associate Professor, Painting and Drawing (1999) at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Jiang received his BFA at Shanghai Normal University (1983) and his MFA at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1990). Jiang was the Curator for, Contemporary Ink Painting and Artists, Duolun Museum of Modern Art, Shanghai and he also organized the Symposium: Beijing International Conference on Art Theory and Criticism, Beijing. Jiang’s exhibitions include: Qingdao Art Museum; Koehhnline Museum; Unique Hill Gallery Shanghai; Walsh Gallery; Jan Cicero Gallery; Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale; Wabaunsee Community College, Wabaunsee, IL; Shanghai Art Fair; Osaka Triennial.
